Strength Coach

Enrico Roncancio

A 1979 graduate of Western Illinois University he has a bachellors degree in Health Science and is  certified as a Youth Conditioning Specialist and a High School Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the International Youth Conditioning Association.  In addition he is also certified as a Level 1 USA Track and Field Coach and a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach.

 

With 12 years experience as the boys and girls assistant coach at Springfield High School he currently coaches the U-16 Central Illinois Rowdies boys competitive soccer team.

Coach Roncancio has worked with local football, baseball, and soccer teams in the area of speed and age appropriate strength & conditioning training.  He is a Captain on the Springfield Fire Department and designed the first strength & conditioning program for rookies coming into the SFD.

Equipment Manager

Matt Beck

Matt comes to the Springfield Jr. Blues from St. Louis. Matt worked last season as the equipment manager for the St. Louis Bandits of the NAHL. Matt attended Missouri State where he also played ACHA hockey.


Head Athletic Trainer

Devin Spears

Devin comes to the Jr. Blues from Memorial Sportscare in Springfield, IL. Devin has a B.S. in Physical Education/Athletic Training from Eastern Illinois University, and a M.S. in Sports Medicine & Athletic Training from Illinois State University. Devin is also a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a certified body fat tester for wrestling through the IHSA.

Devin is actively involved with running, cycling and golf.


Athletic Trainer

Amanda Wilson

Amanda is also a part of the Sportscare family in Springfield. She earned her B.S. in athletic training in 2007 from Illinois State University, and her DPT from Washington University in St. Louis in 2011. She is a licensed physical therapist, athletic trainer and a member of the APTA.

Amanda has been actively involved with medical coverage for the Special Olympics of Illinois and is an athletic trainer with the Springfield Jr. Blues. She is very active and enjoys running, biking, softball and volleyball in her spare time.
